Happy Leap Day!
Today was also the last free admission to the Hogle Zoo this winter. It was a cold and windy day. We went anyway. And it was crowded and cold, but Hailey didn’t care. She just wanted to see the animals. Especially the giraffes and elephants. And I didn’t mind. We’ve been before, we’ll be back again, and we didn’t pay to get in, so there really wasn’t any stress to get our money’s worth.
Hailey and I carpooled with Ellie and her mom, which made the trip extra fun. After the zoo we stopped off at the Corner Bakery Café near the University of Utah campus. That made the day even more special. And we were able to warm up with some soup and a sandwich.
It’s so nice to occasionally breakaway from the everyday routine and do something different!
Looks like a cold but fantastic day! I love breaking from the routine. And I am sooo ready for spring!
