Really though, isn’t that what kids are? Personal Assistants (slaves, maids, etc…) for their parents?
Just jokes.
Hailey certainly wants to do what Kyle and I do. Which is really going to make us watch what we do and say from here on out.
What I don’t mind her copying, is helping out with the housework. Like sweeping (except for when she walks right through the pile I just swept up), or unloading the dishwasher (except for when she puts her mouth on everything as she pulls it out.)
Actually, Hailey is pretty good at unloading the dishwasher. She comes running to help when she sees me in the kitchen with the dishwasher open. She even will put some things away on her own, I don’t have to show her where they go. She’s gotten into everything in the kitchen enough to know where it all belongs. She just doesn’t understand the concept of dirty in, clean out. She wants to take things out of the dishwasher anytime it’s open, even when they’re dirty. At least she’s eager to help. I doubt she’ll always be this enthusiastic about cleaning, so I guess I better enjoy it while I can.
Have Hailey come to our house to show Eva how to be a personal assistant. I think that would definitely be a win-win!
ReplyDeleteDang...send her to my house while you're here. I could use a personal assistant, too!
