I put her in her bumbo (because we don't have a highchair, and yes, I am a horrible mother, I put her on the table), put some peas on her tray, set the bowl with the peas in it on the table and went into the kitchen to get my own lunch. Peas Please!
Hailey loves peas. She picks them up by the handful and stuffs them in her mouth. I tend to give her peas quite often for lunch. I try to vary what she eats, but despite my efforts I feel like she eats a lot of peas, cheese and bananas, all of which she loves. Today I tried to spice things up a little bit by giving her a Gerber baby food meal. It was turkey, rice and vegetables. Sounded good to me. Apparently it's not so good all mashed up. Hailey wouldn't eat it. She loves to eat whatever we're eating, not that baby stuff. Anyway... we settled on peas for lunch.

so cute!
ReplyDeleteI like these collages! She is sooo cute! I'm just about to start Jed on a regular solid food diet. I'm glad there's so much to look forward to! And you're not a bad mom, trust me. :)
ReplyDeleteEmma had very little to do with any of the purees. I think I might be giving up on buying them even in the future. But, hey, peas are a vegetable, so that is a good step in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteShe's so cute Renae! That is awesome that she loves peas so much. I have to mix Livi's vegetables in with other foods, like mashed potatoes and lasagna, for her to even eat any.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a funny story! I like a girl who just dives right in. Way to go, Hailey!
