After making our move back to Utah, Kyle had a few spare days before he started work. We decided to use one of those days to take Hailey to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. It was a huge hit. At the time I wasn’t sure how much she enjoyed it. But she talks about it all the time. She randomly brings it up. Sometimes I’ll ask her what she wants to do and she responds with “zoo”. I guess we need to go back. It’s nice that we’re only 15 minutes away!
We saw a lot of animals, went on a carousel ride (Hailey rode the turkey, I rode the praying mantis), went on a train ride and watched a bird show. The bird show was pretty fun. The birds fly right over your head. Kyle was hit in the face by a golden eagle’s wing. It was a fun day for all of us to get out of the house and away from the busyness of moving in.
How fun! I've been dying to take Jed to the zoo, but it will probably have to wait until next spring.
