Grilling in the Canyon

On Friday we went on a nice drive up American Fork Canyon in hopes of finding a camping spot. Turns out that place is pretty popular so everything was reserved and weren't able to stay over night. BUT we did find a nice picnic area to grill at. We grilled hot dogs, corn on the cob and of course marshmallows. It was a pretty good time, even though we weren't able to camp.

This is the only picture of me... so that's why I threw it in, even though I look a little drugged.

FIRE!!!!

Roasting Hot Dogs

We forgot to bring condiments, but we had salsa on hand so... behold, the salsa dog.

Kyle's was good, but really hot.

Corn right out of the firepit.

Andy enjoying a delicious piece of corn on the cob.

  1. That looks like so much fun! I'm so jealous of your little trip. We tried going up there with some friends once, but couldn't find a place either so we ending up grilling hot dogs at home over their gas stove.

  2. Renae just a warning regarding the hotdogs!
Listeriosis—A serious infection caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes, which has recently been recognized as an important public health problem in the United States. The disease affects primarily pregnant women, their fetuses, newborns, and adults with weakened immune systems. Listeria is killed by pasteurization and cooking; however, in certain ready-to-eat foods, such as hot dogs and deli meats, contamination may occur after cooking/manufacture but before packaging. Listeria monocytogenes can survive at refrigerated temperatures.
