I was holding Keira when she began to grunt. I asked her if she was working on a poop. Hailey then said to me, “She’s working on a present for you. It’s almost done. She’s wrapping it up in her diaper.”
Hailey has seen me nurse Keira many, many times. She has also witnessed Keira spit up and poop on me, many, many times. I once watched Hailey pretend to nurse her own baby. She held her baby to her chest for a few seconds. She then pulled her away and exclaimed “Gross!” and wiped her baby’s face with a burp cloth. She then proceeded to nurse her baby some more.
Hailey and I were working on a number puzzle she has. She put together the number 12 and told me it was “two-teen.”
As Kyle was leaving for work Hailey called out to him, “Be good for Troy!” Troy is Kyle’s boss.
In the afternoon after eating chicken nuggets for lunch, Hailey tooted. She looked at me and said, “That was the chicken.”
Hailey is really into playing doctor right now. She works on us to fix us because we are broken. She applies all types of ointments and creams, makes us drink different liquids, makes incisions, and puts band aids on us. While she was working to fix Kyle, he asked her if she wanted to be a doctor someday. She responded with, “I am a doctor!”
Kyle and Hailey were flying on a pretend magic carpet through the zoo. Kyle said, “I see a giraffe.” Hailey said, “I see a bird.” Kyle asked, “What kind of a bird?” Hailey responded with, “A fat bird. Let’s go home.”
