Recently.

Here's a small recap of what has gone down in the Hill House as of late.
  • Kyle spent an entire Saturday squatting in the attic straddled over rafters, installing a vent fan in our bathroom ceiling. And then he spent the next couple of days sore all over. It took way longer than he originally thought. But now we have a fan! No more foggy mirror. (Why in the world did our master bath not have a fan in the first place!?)
  • I've been on a cleaning/organizing kick. I covered our living room floor in baby clothes while sorting through them picking out some to giveaway and reorganizing/repacking the rest to store for a another day (maybe). I also spent a another day cleaning out our overstuffed filing cabinet. We had EOBs in there from when Hailey was born. 4 years later, I'm pretty sure we don't need those anymore.
  • Hailey had a two week break from preschool. She spent a good amount of time playing on her new LeapPad, reading books, and playing games. We have played quite a few rounds of Sequence for Kids, The Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game, and The Ladybug Game.
  • Hailey fell asleep reading books with my mom. Just like this:

  • Keira has cut 6 teeth in about 6 or 7 weeks. 4 on top, 2 on bottom. It has been very painful for her. Last week was terrible. Constant crying, whining, and clinginess. I honestly couldn't even set her down to use the bathroom without her screaming at me. Playing with her, if I even went to adjust how she was sitting in my lap she would throw a fit. It was horrible. I gave her tylenol, but that never seemed to last long enough. By the end of the week I was at my limit. I took her into the doctor to be sure there wasn't something else going on. It was just teeth. I actually was hoping it was something else and the doctor would have a quick fix. I was afraid I'd never have my happy baby back. Her teeth must have cut through because this week has been a complete 180 from last week. So much laughter and so many smiles. Yay! Keira is so much fun to be around again. It makes everyone so happy. I'm glad it was short lived.

  • Kyle and I went on a date to downtown Salt Lake City. We did our typical SLC date: dinner at Blue Iguana and wandered around City Creek. I scored a pair of gray skinny jeans from the Loft for $4.88. They were originally $69.50. Nice!

  1. Yeesh, I am so not looking forward to Wesley cutting teeth, I forgot how miserable that is. I'm glad Keira is feeling so much better though! Ps I love the new header!
