4th of July

We had a most splendid 4th of July this year. I made Hailey a shirt to wear to show her American pride. It’s hard to read in the picture, but it says “made in the US of A”.

Kyle started off our day with a 2.5 mile run. Then we headed over to the park to join some of the missionaries in our area for some fun riding unicycles. Some family friends of Kyle’s family have a large collection of unicycles. They provided the missionaries with a BBQ and unicycle rides. Kyle also kicked around a soccer ball and played some softball.

Check out the height of that unicycle!

The park we were at also had a splash pad. I was too busy chasing Hailey around, trying to corral her into the water, to take any pictures of the splash pad. That explains the swimsuit. Notice how patriotic Hailey is, even her swimsuit is red and blue!

After the park we took a small break and then headed to Kyle’s parents house for another BBQ and some swimming. No pictures there- my camera was charging. At the end of the day Kyle was sacked out on the couch, which never happens. He was wiped out from a fun and very active day. We all took long much needed naps the following day. It was definitely a day to recover from.
