Spring is here! I think it is finally here to stay! Here is proof:
These blossoms are from our peach tree. Our very sad, little peach tree.
Like the rest of our yard, the poor tree has been neglected. I don’t know if there’s much we can do to help it out. It is a sad sight, but it did produce a lot of fruit last year.
I’m actually quite late in writing this post. All of these pictures are from last month, and I’ve already taken updates from what I’ll share with you now. So pretend like it’s April, and not May, ok? Better late than never, I guess.
Anyway, spring is here, and that means it is garden planting time! This is our first year of real gardening. (Versus growing plants in pots, like we did last year.) We’re so excited about it! Along with the peach tree we inherited a garden plot from the previous owners. Yay!
We don’t have a tiller, nor the funds to buy on this year. So crazy Kyle went out and hand tilled the whole thing. It impressively only took him a combined total of a couple of hours to do. He swears it really wasn’t that bad. We later learned that our home teacher has a tiller we could have borrowed. Next year, I guess.
We opted to plant seeds this year. Our first planting we sowed peppers, Walla Walla onions, and peas.
Hailey helped plant too.
Hopefully something grows!
Yay for spring! I've always heard the first year you grow a garden is a flop. But I must say, ours did okay last year. :) So there's lots of hope. And I have what I've deemed a black thumb: I don't do plants.

Good luck with your garden! I hand tilled our entire thing last year and it was rough. Good for Kyle. Not this year though, we haven't planted a thing and are super late for out here. Maybe this weekend we'll get in some peppers and tomatoes...
