Nine Months

Hailey is now 3/4 of a year old. She is getting so big! We went to the doctor today. She is 20 lbs. 14 oz. and 28 1/4 inches in length. Kyle and I feel like she has learned and grown so much since we came to Texas. Hailey now pulls herself up on everything all the time. I really have to keep an eye on her. She crawls everywhere. She loves to read, but is particular about what she does and doesn't want to read. If I pull out a book and she's not interested she'll toss it or push it to the side and reach for something else. She's beginning to babble and says "mamama" and "dadada". She says "dadada" when she's playing and "mamama" when she's upset. I guess that's how it's always going to be, isn't it? She claps all the time. Anytime she accomplishes something she looks at me with a big smile and claps for herself. She loves to dance. It seems she is constantly bobbing her head to some sort of beat. She's funny in that she won't hold two things at one time. If she is holding something, and you give her something else in her other hand, she has to drop one of them. She loves to rip up paper. We look forward to the day each week that the big junk mailer comes. We sit and read/rip it up together. She is starting to imitate us more and more. We showed her how to look through the hole in one of her toys (illustrated in the top left picture.) If you make a noise, she will often follow by making the same noise. Hailey is pretty much just a whole lot of fun!
